Capturing the color and contrast of everyday scenes
Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.”
—Claude Monet
What inspires me to capture what I see into an art piece?
Interesting scenes capture my attention as colors, shapes, and textures catch my eye.
A flower clarified by light, or colorful fruit peeking from a shadowed bowl. Often it is the contrast- a charming cottage peeking out from intensely dark tree shadows.
Through watercolor, I hope my pieces invite you to pause and enjoy the simple moments and common but beautiful images around you.
If you have stopped to observe, and appreciate the beauty from our Creator captured in my art, I have achieved the greatest of compliments.

Original Watercolors / Watercolor Prints
A high quality original watercolor painting is painted with lightfast professional grade watercolor paint , made by several companies such as Daniel Smith, Windsor Newton, and M Graham. These paints are light fast for the most part, as opposed to early watercolors that faded over time. Paintings are done on high quality archival paper such as Arches or Fabriano 140 and 300 lb. watercolor paper. When an original painting is sold, the artist holds the copyright and high-quality acid free prints called giclee can occasionally be offered to collectors. These last for generations in the size of your choice.
If you are interested in a print of a painting that has been sold contact me for availability.
